MY STORY
Early Years
After years of being told that I was no good at music. In my teenage years.
I purchased An Amiga 500 in 1987. I had a program called Pro Tracker.
Created basic samples and loops. It was really basic stuff on 3.5 Floppy Disks
Sounds in Amusement Arcades interested me, spent a lot of my youth in them skiving
school for weeks on end. Trying to earn some money co’s Diffent have a pot to piss in.
Watching, Syfy, being influenced by 70’s rock and punk bands Looked forward
to Sundays Top 40 recording it on TDK Tapes is something I do miss. Music and sounds
have always been my passion, I regret selling my CD collection cos my mum was always skint.
You can say music has played a big part in my life.

First watching MTV “Video Killed The Radio Star” was a major change. Radio has played a big, big, part of my life, from CB Radio’s my uncle Bill would build in his bedroom, to the toys he would take apart to see how they worked. I remember getting a radio with headphones, a Sony unit listening to Radio Caroline late into the night.
The Eighties
Forward to The eighties, being a Skinhead, was everything, loved the style a progression from being a Mod.
I listened to as much music as I could, I loved Bob Marley, hence the name zionlikealion, loved the themes to the Bond Films, brought my first hifi stack again a Sony separates. But for some reason I brought a Toshiba CD player. Think it was, ‘cos it looked like a Kenwood unit I really wanted. I brought an Amiga 500 in 1987. I saved a year for it. I paid £500, go money for cleaning windows, and selling coal I picked from the railway tracks.
The Youth Club
The Youth Club disco was the highlight of the week. A guy called Ian Barley, was a master of his craft from a young age. Always kept up with the latest tunes. He was mixing far better than some of the professionals. The 90’S started my first job, so had a bit of money to myself.
My Sony had seen better days by now. And I had changed to a Sansui Amp, Revolver speakers and record player with a JVC twin tape deck I found on the tip, which I cleaned up, and to my astonishment it worked fine. From driving round in mates cars, listening to Fleetwood Mac, Phil Collins, and many more artists.
We lived for the weekends, down the town drinking, clubbing and having the odd rumble
